The Propeller Education Kit Fundamentals text in pdf and code supported the Propeller Educational Kit (discontinued), a breadboard-based kit for programming the original
Propeller P8X32A multicore microcontroller in Spin. Though the PEK
is discontinued, the P8X32A DIP chip
and the Propeller FLiP module (descendant
of the PropStick USB) are both available, and therefore this book still remains useful for
learning Spin programming.
Many of the circuits such as Two amber LEDs, ADC and SD card holder are already built in.
Also a small Breadboard is installed on this Board so simple circuits can be quickly and conveniently constructed.
Eight blue LEDs and eight Touch Pad switches are already built in.
This board is being discontinued as of August 2023
Also in the past you could have used the Propeller Professional Development Board (PRO) Product ID: 32111
Where you still
had to construct your own circuits, but almost all the necessary components for many Projects are already present on the PRO board, so you only need to connect them together with breadboard jumper wires.
Unfortunately the PRO has been discontinued by PARALLAX and is no longer available.
However both new and used PRO boards can be still found for sale on the Internet.
You can use the Propeller Board of Education (PBE) Product ID: 32900
A built-in set of peripherals makes it ready to support an amazing array of projects, prototypes, hands-on activities, and kits.
The Propeller Board of Education is ideal for learning the basics of electronics, programming and robotics. It also simplifies advanced applications that require RF-linked communication, audio/visual peripherals, and gigs of SD memory.
Also a small Breadboard is installed on this Board so simple circuits can be quickly and conveniently constructed.
This board has been discontinued by Parallax, but few of the are still available

The breadboard-friendly Propeller FLiP microcontroller module
available since 2020 packs a lot of features into a small, easy-to-use form-factor.
With on-board USB for both communication and power, on-board LEDs, a high-performance 3.3V switching regulator, USB and reverse-polarity protection, and informative, easy-to-read labelling, the Propeller FLiP module will quickly become your go-to microcontroller for all of your inventions!
Pin information is printed right on top of the module, which makes learning fun and prototyping incredibly fast.
The Propeller FLiP has roughly the same pin-out as previous 40-pin DIP Propeller modules.
This design provides improved damage-minimization if inserted in reverse.
When coupled with exceptional power management, the FLiP is a robust module ideally suited for classrooms, projects and finished products alike.
Each e-book Project has a link to the associated circuit schematics.
To fully understand the program functionality you should review the associated circuit schematics and understand how it works electronically.
